Woodworking
Woodworking has been a part of my life since childhood. It's one of the ways I stay connected to the physical side of building, shaping materials, solving problems, and paying attention to detail. Much of the larger projects I take on, grow out of the relationship with joinery and furniture design.
Currently I handle larger architectural projects from my shop in Friendship, such as timber frames, staircases, entryways, and built-ins. I build smaller pieces in the shop in Bath, Fellowship of the Lathe: bowls, chairs, custom furniture, etc.
Along with producing items for sale, my specific woodworking projects keep me connected to the craft in general, so that when I guide folks in building their projects, I'm already "hitting the ground running."
